This full-time, permanent position seeks a Laboratory Technical Assistant to join the Institute for Pharmacology and Toxicology, focusing on translational research in cardiovascular and tumor pharmacology. The role involves deep integration into scientific project work, requiring the independent planning, execution, and evaluation of complex experiments. Key daily responsibilities include performing molecular biological and protein biochemical techniques such as cloning, PCR, and Western Blot analysis. The assistant will also manage mammalian cell cultures and conduct functional cell investigations, including 2D/3D tumor growth and cell migration assays, often involving S2-level work like generating lentiviral vectors. The ideal candidate should possess a relevant vocational qualification (e.g., BTA or MTLA), practical experience in cell biology and functional cell analysis, and a high degree of independence. Experience

  • Successfully completed vocational training as a Biological-Technical Assistant (BTA), Medical-Technical Laboratory Assistant (MTLA), or comparable qualification
  • Practical experience in cell biological techniques (mammalian cell cultures)
  • Knowledge and practical experience in functional cell analysis (tumor cell analysis or angiogenic cell functions) (advantageous)
  • Knowledge and experience in performing animal experiments (mice) and willingness to participate (advantageous)
  • Knowledge and practical experience in standard histological techniques (desirable)
