Job Summary

This role as an Associate Director, Finance Business Partner R&D, involves providing critical financial expertise, planning, controlling, and reporting services to the Research and Development organization, with a strong emphasis on cost transparency to enable optimal decision-making. Day-to-day responsibilities include acting as a key business partner for clinical product candidates, managing monthly and annual closings, performing variance analyses, ensuring SOX compliance, and coordinating provisions. The role is central to the planning process, requiring the management of budgets and rolling forecasts, plausibility checks for projects, and alignment with stakeholders. Furthermore, you will manage financial aspects of collaboration projects, determining R&D cost sharing and coordinating invoicing. The ideal candidate holds a university degree in Economics or Business Administration, possesses several years of professional experience in controlling, ideally within an international setting, and demonstrates excellent analytical and communication skills. Fluency in both German and English is mandatory, along with strong proficiency in ERP systems, particularly S4/HANA.
