Job Summary

This position invites a motivated Junior or Senior Service Technician to join the Autonomous Material Handling System (AMHS) team at a leading global semiconductor manufacturer in Dresden. The primary mission is to ensure the continuous operation of advanced chip production by maintaining critical infrastructure. Day-to-day responsibilities include performing preventive maintenance and essential repairs on mechatronic systems located within the cleanroom environment. You will also be tasked with monitoring and recovering the autonomous transport system from the AMHS control station, ensuring a seamless supply chain to the fabrication facilities. Candidates should bring initial experience in mechanics, electrics, mechatronics, or automotive technology, coupled with an aptitude for troubleshooting and repair. While prior semiconductor experience is not required, a completed technical vocational qualification or higher technical degree is mandatory. The role offers specialized, individualized training and an attractive full continuous shift schedule (6 days working, followed by 4 days off).

Required Skills

Education

Successfully completed vocational training (Facharbeiterausbildung) OR qualification as a State-Certified Technician or Master in fields such as Electronics/Electrical Engineering, Automation, Precision Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Technology, Mechatronics, or Information Technology.

Experience

  • Initial experience in mechanics, electrics, mechatronics, or automotive technology
  • Relevant professional experience in the maintenance of mechatronic systems (preferred)
