This role involves working as an IT Security Engineer, acting as the operational point of contact for technical and organizational data protection matters. The engineer will support management and departments as an interface for all data protection processes and projects, coordinating closely with the Data Protection Officer. Key responsibilities include planning, implementing, and monitoring advanced IT security measures, particularly in environments subject to security clearance requirements. Day-to-day tasks involve defining data protection-relevant procedures, managing the central register of processing activities, and assisting with control and monitoring measures. The ideal candidate possesses a degree in IT or a comparable qualification, combined with several years of professional experience in IT security system administration and security management. Expertise in the ISO/IEC 27000 series, current cybersecurity demands, and ITIL structures is essential, alongside strong analytical skills and the ability to work independently in a security-focused environment. Required Skills

Education

Completed degree with an information technology focus or comparable qualification, Certification as a Data Protection Officer (DSB), Data Protection Coordinator (DSK), or comparable certification

Experience

  • Experience and expertise in ITIL-based structures
