This specialized role requires a Food Chemist to focus on the legal assessment and regulatory compliance of food products within a public investigation office. Key daily responsibilities include serving as the test supervisor for specific product categories, such as butter, fats, oils, and delicatessen, which involves meticulous creation of test plans and sample coordination. A critical function is providing expert legal evaluations of complex analytical results based on the German Food and Feed Code (LFGB), drafting formal test reports, and preparing professional opinions. The specialist will also coordinate investigation programs, participate actively in expert committees, and mentor junior food chemists during their training. Essential qualifications include a university degree in Food Chemistry culminating in the Second State Examination. Candidates must possess extensive knowledge of relevant food law, proficiency in chemical and instrumental testing methods, and strong communication skills for effective written and verbal expression.
