Job Summary

This role involves supporting the official examination of consumer and animal health samples, focusing specifically on chemical, physical, and sensory analysis of foodstuffs, particularly butter, fats, oils, and delicatessen. Day-to-day tasks include extensive sample preparation (crushing, homogenization), performing analyses using classical physical-chemical methods (NIR, photometry) and advanced chromatographic techniques (GC, HPLC), and conducting methods validation and verification. The technician is responsible for processing samples within the Laboratory Information and Management System (LIMS) and ensuring accurate documentation for the Quality Management System. The ideal candidate holds a qualification as a Chemical-Technical Assistant or Chemical Laboratory Technician, possesses routine experience with standard lab equipment and analytical methods, and demonstrates precision, reliability, and strong teamwork skills in a demanding public sector environment. This is a two-year fixed-term, part-time position (19.5 hours/week) offering flexible hours and public sector benefits.

Required Skills

Education

Completed vocational training as a Chemical-Technical Assistant, Chemical Laboratory Technician, or equivalent qualification

Experience

  • Professional experience in handling common technical laboratory equipment
  • Professional experience with classical physical-chemical procedures and chromatographic methods
  • Desirable experience in handling a Laboratory Information System (LIMS)
  • Desirable experience with quality management-compliant documentation
