Job Summary

This role involves working as a Specialist within the Federal Office's dynamic Digitalization Team, responsible for steering the development and implementation of critical IT projects and managing established IT products. Key responsibilities include gathering and validating requirements from specialized departments, and overseeing the full software development lifecycle—from initial concept and development through testing and final production deployment. The specialist will coordinate the networking of new IT applications via online interfaces with other external authorities and agencies. Furthermore, the position requires generating official reports and templates, handling inquiries from the Federal Court of Auditors, and coordinating external appointments. Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in a relevant IT or MINT field, or equivalent professional experience, coupled with proven knowledge in project management methodologies, including controlling and license management. Good German language skills (C1 level) and the willingness to undergo a security clearance are mandatory prerequisites.

Required Skills

Education

Completed (Specialized) University degree (Bachelor level minimum) in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Administrative Informatics, IT Management, Digitalization, Process Optimization & Management, Mathematics, or another relevant field with an IT focus. Alternatively, a completed MINT profession with an IT focus, or a degree in Administrative or Economic Sciences.

Experience

  • Demonstrated knowledge and professional experience in Project Management methodologies, including Multi-Project Management
  • Demonstrated knowledge and professional experience in Project Controlling
  • Demonstrated knowledge and professional experience in License Management
  • Alternatively, at least three years of professional experience in an IT workplace (equivalent to salary group E 10 to E 12 TV EntgO Bund)
