Job Summary

Join the German Aerospace Center (DLR) Institute for Software Technology to drive future innovation by researching and developing cutting-edge Computer Vision methods for environmental sensing. In this role, you will analyze and interpret complex environmental data using advanced AI and Machine Learning algorithms. Key daily tasks include developing practical applications, such as wildfire detection (identifying vegetation and rescue routes), and focusing on 6D pose estimation techniques to precisely localize objects (e.g., drone components) in complex engineering environments, essential for Augmented Reality applications. You will be responsible for the scientific evaluation, publication of research results in journals, and presentation at international conferences, ensuring technology transfer to industrial applications.
