Job Summary

This role involves supporting the Chair of Pharmaceutical Chemistry at the Friedrich-Alexander-University Erlangen-Nürnberg by executing and optimizing critical laboratory procedures. Key daily tasks include conducting processes for the recovery of active ingredients from old pharmaceuticals and performing rigorous analytical testing using modern instrumental methods such as HPLC, NMR spectroscopy, and titrations according to pharmacopoeia standards. The technician is responsible for thorough data analysis, report generation, and documentation compliant with internal quality standards. Furthermore, the position requires organizing the collection, storage, and eventual disposal of old medicines, including communication with external partners, and providing support in mentoring apprentices within the work group. Candidates must possess completed vocational training as a Chemical Laboratory Technician, strong knowledge of organic synthesis chemistry, and proficiency in instrumental and quantitative analytical techniques.
