Job Summary

This role involves the crucial maintenance, operation, and strategic planning of access control, locking, and fire barrier systems within the University's central administration building. The specialist will be responsible for creating security concepts, developing modernization plans, and overseeing the migration of conventional locking systems to modern online and offline access control technologies. Key daily tasks include planning and monitoring maintenance activities, ensuring compliance with escape and rescue plans, and developing training materials for end-users. The ideal candidate holds a Master Craftsman or Technician qualification in Mechatronics or Electrical Engineering, possesses strong organizational skills, and has experience with access control systems and powered doors/gates. This position offers the opportunity to work in a large public university setting, ensuring technical safety and security.

Experience

  • Professional experience in Mechatronics or Electrical Engineering or comparable field
