Job Summary

This critical role invites an experienced engineer to shape the future of aerospace by joining the Airbus DS GmbH team in Taufkirchen. The Functional AIT Engineer will primarily execute crucial thermal vacuum (TVAC) and calibration and characterization (C&C) test campaigns, often working in rotating shifts. Daily tasks include maintaining and improving detailed test procedures, executing tests, and critically assessing the resulting data. A core responsibility is analyzing events and correlating them to potential root causes, requiring pragmatic problem-solving skills to meet deadlines without compromising flight hardware integrity. The successful candidate must hold a degree in Electrical Engineering, Embedded Systems, or Aerospace, and possess at least two years of professional experience, with required knowledge in informatics and network management. Experience with space standards (ECSS) and software testing is a distinct advantage. This position demands readiness for intensive shift work but offers the opportunity to drive pioneering projects in a high-stakes, innovative environment where English is the primary project language.
