Job Summary

This role involves working as a Radio Electronics Technician within the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) department of the Middle Franconia Police Headquarters in Nuremberg. The technician will be responsible for the setup, assembly, functional testing, and troubleshooting of digital radio devices and associated communication technology at various police stations and the control center. Key day-to-day tasks include applying software updates, repairing digital radio equipment, and setting up and maintaining antenna systems. The ideal candidate possesses a relevant technical degree (e.g., Electronics Technician for Information and Systems Technology) and ideally has experience with digital radio technology. This position offers the security and benefits of public service employment, with the possibility of transitioning into a permanent civil servant position (Verbeamtung) and contributes directly to internal security in Bavaria.

Required Skills

Education

Completed vocational training as an Electronics Technician – Information and Systems Technology, IT Systems Electronics Technician, Radio and Television Technician, or a comparable educational qualification focusing on high-frequency or broadcast technology.

Experience

  • Ideally, experience in the field of digital radio technology
  • Professional experience in electronics or high-frequency/broadcast technology
  • A high degree of willingness to learn and self-taught abilities to acquire necessary specialized knowledge
  • At least five years of relevant full-time professional experience after completing training (required for civil servant status consideration)
  • One year of professional activity must be in public service (required for civil servant status consideration)
