Job Summary

This role involves analyzing, efficiently designing, and independently modeling existing and new business processes using BPMN and potentially UML. The Business Analyst will evaluate and prioritize requirements, ensuring their technical feasibility within established standards and sustainability aspects. A key part of the role is coordinating requirements with various IT teams, tracking their successful and timely implementation, and contributing to relevant documentation while advising on formal compliance. The position also entails developing problem solutions and translating them into IT processes, considering interface requirements. You will initiate and maintain continuous communication with stakeholders, moderate cross-functional workshops, and manage end-to-end requirements. This is a crucial role in modernizing the central IT infrastructure of the German Pension Insurance Data Office (DSRV), operating within a large program comprising 11 IT projects, offering a unique opportunity to contribute to a significant and complex transformation project.

Required Skills

Education

Successfully completed university degree (Bachelor, Diploma) in IT or equivalent qualification (e.g., IT-specific qualification, completed vocational training in IT with many years of practical professional experience, or comparable relevant practical experience)

Experience

  • Several years of relevant professional experience in Business Analysis, Requirements Analysis, Process Modeling, and IT-supported Business Process Optimization
  • Experience with model-based development (MBSE) of business processes in UML and BPMN is desirable
  • Experience with agile methods (Scrum, Kanban) is desirable
  • Experience with tools like Jira and Confluence is desirable
  • Knowledge of software development processes and the software industry is ideal

  • Temporary position until December 31, 2028, with option for extension. Requires willingness for occasional business trips and participation in training/events outside Würzburg. Position requires willingness to undergo and successfully complete a security clearance check (§ 9 Security Clearance Act - SÜG).
