Job Summary

This role is crucial for securing the digital future of the German Armed Forces (Bundeswehr) by working within the Cloud Operation Hub, the central hub for modern cloud solutions. The specialist will be responsible for the setup, installation, and continuous operation of Google Distributed Cloud air-gapped (GDC-A) instances, ensuring stable, secure, and efficient IT services. Daily tasks include providing 1st and 2nd level support, coordinating major incident resolution and break-fix activities in the data center, and implementing architectural changes compliant with IT security standards and customer requirements. The ideal candidate holds a degree in Computer Science and brings at least five years of experience in enterprise environments, coupled with solid knowledge of Linux and Kubernetes administration, and familiarity with data center operations. This position offers the unique opportunity to contribute directly to national security and collaborate closely with manufacturers on future product development in a highly complex IT infrastructure.
