Job Summary

This role is a critical opportunity for a highly motivated Research Associate to join the Quantum Optoelectronics group at Philipps-Universität Marburg, contributing to the DFG-funded Emmy-Noether Program focused on hybrid opto-electronic quantum systems. The successful candidate will engage in cutting-edge research involving two-dimensional (2D) quantum materials, aiming to understand and manipulate exotic quantum phenomena for technological application. Key responsibilities include the advanced nanofabrication of electrically controllable van der Waals heterostructures, designing and operating complex experimental setups, and performing rigorous optical spectroscopy and electrical transport measurements, often at deep temperatures. You will be responsible for the comprehensive analysis and modeling of experimental data, culminating in the preparation of scientific publications and conference contributions. This position, offered as a 75% part-time contract for three years, provides comprehensive training in quantum materials research and the dedicated framework necessary to pursue a doctoral degree in experimental solid-state physics.
