Job Summary

This role involves administering and optimizing the IT infrastructure for the Building Management department of the State Capital of Hannover, supporting approximately 500 employees. The specialist will be responsible for the commissioning and administration of hardware solutions, installation and optimization of application software, and organizing system roll-outs and updates. Key daily tasks include troubleshooting, rights administration, network maintenance, and software administration. Ideal candidates possess a background in System Integration or Application Development, or an IT-related degree combined with significant professional experience in large network environments. Success in this position requires strong analytical skills, the ability to solve technical problems independently, expertise in MS Windows operating systems, and proficiency in scripting languages like PowerShell, ensuring a modern and efficient IT environment.

Education

Completed vocational training as an IT Specialist (System Integration or Application Development) or a university degree with an IT technical focus

Experience

  • Professional experience in IT organizations
  • Minimum 3 years of practical professional experience in organizations with networks of more than 100 PCs (if holding an IT-related degree)
