This role involves supporting the Facility Management team within the Municipal Ports of Hannover, focusing on technical maintenance and ensuring the safety and functionality of various industrial and commercial properties, including port and rail facilities. The successful candidate will independently execute skilled manual tasks, perform minor repairs, and eliminate defects across the sites. A critical component of the job is overseeing and managing external contractors, including guiding, monitoring, inspecting, and formally accepting their work. Candidates must possess a completed vocational trade qualification (e.g., electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, or roofing) lasting at least three years, technical comprehension, and a Class B driving license. This position offers a secure, full-time, permanent role within the public sector, requiring flexibility, diligence, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Required Skills

Education

Successfully completed vocational training in a relevant trade (Electrical, Heating, Plumbing, Carpentry, Painting, or Roofing) with a minimum duration of three years.

Experience

  • Professional experience in independent execution of manual/trade work
  • Professional experience in capturing and documenting manual work defects
  • Ideally, knowledge in heating and air conditioning technology, roof maintenance, smoke and heat extraction (RWA), and fire alarm systems
