Job Summary

This role involves taking on a responsible and structured position within Fixed Asset Accounting for the City of Gummersbach's Finance Service department. The successful candidate will be responsible for the comprehensive organization and coordination of all fixed asset accounting matters, including recording, maintaining, and documenting municipal assets such as roads, vehicles, buildings, and school equipment. Key daily tasks include processing additions, disposals, and transfers of assets and investment contributions, reconciling the fixed asset ledger with general financial accounting, and acting as the main point of contact for internal departments regarding investment bookings and boundary clarification. The position requires a strong affinity for numbers, structured work methods, and relevant educational qualifications in administration, law, or economics, offering a stable, full-time, permanent position with flexible working hours and potential for remote work.

Required Skills

Education

Required: Qualification for Career Group 2.1 of the General Administrative Service, German Pension Insurance, Financial Administration (e.g., Diploma in Finance), or Judicial Service (e.g., Diploma in Law/Judiciary, FH); OR Completed university degree (Bachelor, Master, or Diploma [FH]) in Law, Administrative Sciences, Economics, or comparable field; OR Completed Administrative Course II.

Experience

  • Professional experience in fixed asset accounting (implied by core duties)
  • Experience in coordinating organizational matters
  • Experience with SAP (Ideally)
