This critical leadership role involves managing and strategically advancing the Energy Management group within the Pankow District Office in Berlin, overseeing a team of four employees. The Group Lead holds comprehensive responsibility for technical oversight, personnel management, and occupational safety within the unit. Day-to-day activities focus on the strategic development of energy management systems, coordinating cross-location policy matters, and ensuring smooth administrative operations. Key responsibilities include managing legal and contractual affairs related to energy, developing the departmental budget and investment plans, and creating concepts for energy savings and implementing fossil-free energy generation facilities. The position requires a degree in a relevant engineering discipline (e.g., Civil, Energy, Electrical Engineering) or equivalent professional experience, coupled with profound knowledge of energetic optimization of plant technology (HVAC, lighting) and compliance with building energy renovation standards (e.g., EnEV, DIN 18599). Success in this role demands strategic thinking, decisiveness, and fluent German language skills (C1).
