Job Summary
This internship offers a motivated student the chance to combine academic studies with hands-on industrial research in Computer Vision and Advanced Analytics at KAI GmbH. The intern will focus on developing and implementing a Deep Learning model, primarily using PyTorch, to detect anomalies and specific patterns within wafer test data. Day-to-day responsibilities include performing detailed requirement analysis in collaboration with data science experts, getting familiar with existing computer vision methods and software tools, and ensuring thorough documentation and communication of results. Key requirements include practical experience in Python programming, familiarity with AI libraries like Pandas and Numpy, and competence in Git version control. This 11-month position is ideal for students in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or Physics seeking guided experience in cutting-edge semiconductor technology and data analysis.
Required Skills
Education
Student in a degree program (Bachelor or Master) in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Physics, or similar field.
Experience
- Know-How in training Deep Learning models (preferably for Computer Vision tasks)
- Practical experience with Python programming and relevant AI libraries
- Experience with version control using Git
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Poetry, Jenkins)

- Temporary contract duration of 11 months. Must provide certificate of matriculation, CV, motivation letter, latest transcript, and highest completed educational certificate upon application. Flexible working hours (Monday to Friday, 6 a.m. to 7 p.m.).
