Job Summary

The City of Regensburg is seeking a Certified Civil Engineering Technician to join the Bridge Construction Department within the Civil Engineering Office. This permanent, full-time position involves critical work in maintaining the city's infrastructure. Day-to-day responsibilities include participating in the planning, tendering, and construction supervision of renovation and maintenance projects for all engineering structures under the city’s jurisdiction. The technician will independently coordinate smaller maintenance tasks, conduct crucial bridge observations, and assist with formal bridge inspections according to DIN 1076 standards, alongside creating simple technical plans. The ideal candidate must possess advanced training as a State-Certified Technician in Civil Engineering, preferably specializing in Subsurface Construction, or hold an equivalent qualification such as a Master Craftsman title in the construction trade.
