Job Summary

This role involves working as a Research Associate within the University Children's Clinic, focusing on Experimental Pediatrics and Neonatology, supported by third-party funding (DFG). The primary responsibilities include executing a DFG-funded research project centered on inhibitory mechanisms in the immune system and human infection models, alongside supporting additional projects in pediatric immunology, oncoimmunology, and T-cell costimulation. The successful candidate will be crucial for laboratory organization, providing instruction on advanced equipment like FACS (Fortessa), MACS Quant Tyto for cell sorting, and ELI-Spot Reader, and conducting RNASeq evaluations. Key requirements include a Master's degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Pharmacology, Biotechnology, or equivalent, coupled with strong theoretical and practical knowledge in adaptive immunology and T-cell immunology. The position offers an excellent opportunity to pursue a doctoral or postdoctoral (Habilitation) degree while gaining expertise in grant writing and manuscript preparation within an interdisciplinary research team.
