Job Summary

This role offers a unique opportunity to gain expertise in radiation protection as a Medical Physics Expert (MPE) for nuclear medicine and X-ray diagnostics, adhering to the latest German guidelines. You will actively support experienced MPEs in daily clinical tasks, focusing on patient and staff dose optimization, advising users on radiation protection, and ensuring quality assurance. Key responsibilities include managing the dose management system, assisting with new technology implementation, developing work instructions, and providing dosimetry and procurement advice. This position is ideal for a highly responsible, quality-oriented individual eager for interdisciplinary collaboration and professional development within a university hospital setting.

Required Skills

Education

Master's degree in Medical Physics or an equivalent university degree in Medical Physics. Ideally, knowledge, basic, and specialized courses combined with the necessary theoretical knowledge.

Experience

  • Support Medical Physics Experts in clinical practice
  • Professional experience in dose optimization for patients and staff
  • Experience in advising users on radiation protection
  • Experience with quality assurance processes
  • Experience in managing dose management systems

Additional

  • The position is full-time (38.5 hours/week) and limited to 2 years. Deployment will be in the Radiation Protection Staff Unit and the University Hospital for Radiology and Nuclear Medicine. Willingness for continuous professional development and interdisciplinary collaboration is required.
