Job Summary

This position is for an Electrical Engineer specializing in Energy Technology to join the Network Control Center, the operational core of LEW Verteilnetz GmbH. The primary responsibility is ensuring the safe operation of the medium and high-voltage power grid (36,000 km network). Day-to-day tasks involve monitoring the network, creating and verifying switching requests for accuracy and feasibility, and coordinating closely with specialized departments. Crucially, the engineer acts as the lead during network disturbances, localizing faults using the central network control system, analyzing causes, and coordinating restoration efforts with field colleagues. Additionally, the role involves maintaining network data and parameters used for prognosis and load flow calculations. Candidates must hold a degree in Electrical Engineering with an Energy Technology focus and be comfortable analyzing complex technical relationships. While entry-level applicants are encouraged, a willingness to transition from initial day-shift work to a full shift rotation (including nights, weekends, and holidays) is mandatory for ensuring continuous network safety.
