Job Summary

This role involves the comprehensive support and ongoing development of critical clinical applications, such as Polavis, Mediconnect, PDMS Philips, and Recare, within a large healthcare and social services provider. The specialist will play an active role in the implementation and subsequent maintenance of a successor Hospital Information System (HIS) and its associated subsystems. Key daily tasks include independently gathering requirements, implementing, and optimizing these applications, managing project documentation, and providing expert consultation to specialized departments regarding IT needs. The ideal candidate holds a degree in Computer Science, Medical Informatics, or a related field, and possesses extensive professional experience in a hospital setting, coupled with deep knowledge of complex hospital business processes and healthcare information exchange standards like HL7 and FHIR. Success in this position requires strong analytical skills, organizational talent, and a proactive, self-reliant work ethic.
