Job Summary

This role involves managing and maintaining the IT infrastructure for a successful German health insurance provider at their new Essen location. The System Administrator will be the primary point of contact for employees, handling the intake, analysis, classification, and resolution of hardware and software issues (1st and 2nd Level Support). Key responsibilities include setting up and managing workstations, supporting web and database applications, administering the network, and ensuring IT security (backup, encryption, virus protection). The ideal candidate has completed vocational training in IT (e.g., IT Specialist for System Integration) and ideally possesses experience with Microsoft Server, Exchange, MSSQL, and VMware technologies. This position offers excellent flexibility, including a 35-hour work week, the option for a 4-day week, mobile working possibilities, and strong support for professional development.
