Job Summary

This part-time (65%) Research Associate position, available for a fixed term of three years starting January 1, 2026, involves high-level research within the Analytical Biochemistry department at the University of Greifswald. The successful doctoral candidate will focus on the structural analysis of gene-regulatory protein-nucleic acid complexes. Key daily tasks include cloning and producing recombinant proteins and RNA, performing qualitative and quantitative analysis of protein-RNA/DNA complexes using structural biology and biophysical methods, and independently conducting multidimensional solution NMR measurements. The role requires an excellent academic background (M.Sc. or Diploma) in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or Biophysics, along with practical experience in structural determination methods like crystallography and NMR. This is an attractive opportunity for a highly motivated individual seeking to pursue a Ph.D. while contributing to international research collaborations and presenting findings at expert conferences.
