Job Summary

This is a key leadership role as the Managing Director (Geschäftsführer:in) for the Department of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology at a leading technical university. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the Dean's Office, ensuring efficient, science-appropriate departmental management using modern management principles, and continuously developing organizational structures. Day-to-day tasks involve acting as the central contact and facilitator for the department leadership and professors, developing concepts for fundamental departmental matters, and coordinating strategic processes to enhance international reputation. The role requires proven leadership experience, especially in managing a team of approximately 30 employees, driving personnel development, and fostering an innovative organizational culture. Candidates must possess excellent organizational skills, communication competence to engage diverse stakeholders, and the ability to thrive in an international academic environment. Experience in science management and familiarity with current national and international scientific system developments are essential.

Required Skills

Education

University degree (Master or equivalent). Doctorate/PhD is advantageous, especially if related to the department's topics and methods.
