Job Summary

This senior leadership role involves heading the Civil Engineering Division, overseeing a team of 77 employees responsible for the planning, construction, and maintenance of all public roads, bridges, tunnels, and infrastructure within the city limits. Day-to-day responsibilities include comprehensive personnel management, setting and realizing annual work programs for infrastructure development and structural renovations within strict budgetary guidelines, and acting as the municipal client (Bauherr). The successful candidate will manage the allocation of departmental funds, coordinate administrative services such as fee collection and claims processing, and represent the division externally to various authorities and the City Council. This position requires a Master's degree in a relevant engineering field, multi-year experience in road construction and structural engineering, and proven leadership capabilities, ensuring a high-performing and safe transportation network.
