Job Summary

This leadership role involves managing the Civil Engineering Administration and Contribution Law Department for the City of Ibbenbüren. The Head of Department is responsible for overseeing complex foundational issues, drafting, reviewing, and adapting local statutes and guidelines, and creating local ordinances, including preparing documents for political committees. Key daily tasks include participating in the development of ongoing road and sewage construction programs, preparing the annual road and path concept, and performing wastewater fee requirement calculations and contribution calculations. The ideal candidate must possess strong leadership qualities, excellent communication and negotiation skills, and proven decision-making and conflict resolution abilities. A background in public administration, business administration, or law is required, along with the willingness to quickly master necessary IT systems to fulfill departmental duties.
