Job Summary
This full-time, permanent role within the IT department of the Speyer City Administration focuses on the operational management and optimization of critical financial applications. The specialist will be the key technical administrator, responsible for maintaining application and database servers, managing data backups, and executing the installation and technical approval of software updates, hotfixes, and new modules. A core function involves adapting software programs to local requirements, defining master data, and meticulously managing user accounts, roles, and permissions within the HKR (Budgetary and Accounting) and e-invoicing systems. The position requires strong analytical skills to perform error analysis, provide technical support, and act as the primary interface between specialized municipal departments and external software manufacturers. Furthermore, the specialist will play a vital role in developing concepts for workflow optimization using technology and will conduct essential training and consultation for central and decentralized accounting, budgeting, and controlling staff.
Required Skills
Education
Completed training as an IT Specialist for System Integration OR a university degree (at least Bachelor's) in the IT field.
Experience
- Professional experience regarding the maintenance and operation of financial applications (Desirable)
- Experience in providing training and consultation to end-users
- Experience participating in project groups for software implementation
