Job Summary

This role involves providing technical support for the city of Trier's energy management initiatives, focusing on electrical, heating, and energy-generating systems like photovoltaic and combined heat and power plants. The technician will be responsible for implementing projects to advance energy management, technically monitoring facilities, and executing organizational measures to ensure optimized and energy-efficient operations. Key tasks include setting up digital meter structures, determining energy and water consumption values for properties, assisting in data evaluation, and contributing to energy reporting. The ideal candidate holds a qualification as a certified technician or master craftsman in areas like energy economics or building services (HVAC, Electrical) and possesses strong interest in energy efficiency, basic knowledge of building automation, and proficiency in standard IT applications like MS Office. This is a full-time, fixed-term position until December 31, 2027.

Required Skills

Education

Certified Technician (State-certified) in Energy Economics, Facility Management, HVAC, or Electrical Engineering (TGA); or completed Master Craftsman training in the aforementioned fields

Experience

  • Professional experience in technical support for energy management projects
  • Experience with technical monitoring of electrical, heating, and energy-generating systems (PV, CHP)
  • Ideally, knowledge of building technical regulations, public and private construction law, and contract/procurement law (HOAI, AHO)
