The ideal candidate holds a qualification as a state-certified Technician in Electrical Engineering, specifically in Information and Communication Technology. Experience with network/server hardware and software (Windows, Linux), radar systems, and radio/position-finding systems (like AIS) is highly desirable. This position offers a permanent contract based in Wilhelmshaven, requiring readiness for extensive fieldwork, overnight stays, and potentially acting as an instructor for apprentices, making it a dynamic and essential public service role.

Experience

  • Professional experience in handling hardware and software components for network and server technology, including operating systems
  • Professional experience with radio and position-finding systems (e.g., directional radio, maritime radio, and AIS systems)
  • Basic knowledge of operating radar systems, including associated processing and transmission procedures
  • Willingness to act as an instructor for apprentices in case of substitution
