Job Summary

This role as an Electrical Systems Engineer focuses on ensuring the supply security and stable operation of the energy distribution network in Hamburg. The primary responsibilities include acting as the first responder during disturbances, analyzing faults, coordinating switching operations, and directing field teams to ensure rapid resolution. You will be responsible for managing complex grid situations using modern Network Control Systems (NCS), overseeing planned shutdowns, and controlling voltage and active power injection. A critical component of the role is maintaining absolute safety for personnel and equipment, establishing secure operating conditions for maintenance work. The ideal candidate possesses a technical qualification, such as a Master Craftsman, Technician, or Engineer in Electrical Engineering, coupled with relevant professional experience in network operation or control technology. Success requires strong communication, decisiveness, and the ability to remain calm and make quick decisions under pressure. This position requires mandatory 24/7 shift work, including weekends and holidays, offering the opportunity to actively shape the future evolution of grid management within a dedicated team.
