Job Summary

This role involves supporting the financial operations of a leading technology company specializing in mechatronic systems for the defense industry, located in Essen. The specialist will manage daily financial transactions, focusing heavily on accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring accurate recording of business transactions. Key responsibilities include reviewing incoming and outgoing invoices, monitoring open items, and preparing payment runs. A crucial part of the job is performing account reconciliations, resolving discrepancies, and assisting with the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements in accordance with HGB (German Commercial Code). The ideal candidate possesses a relevant commercial education, professional experience in finance or accounting, and proficiency in MS Office and SAP or a comparable accounting system.
