Job Summary

This role seeks a skilled Java Software Developer specializing in Mission Support Systems for Airbus Defence and Space in Manching. The successful candidate will be responsible for end-to-end software engineering tasks, including design, implementation, unit, and integration testing, throughout the development lifecycle. A core focus of the role involves designing robust software and interfaces, ensuring adherence to critical standards regarding feasibility, reusability, maintainability, safety, and IT security, particularly within the context of aircraft development standards. The developer will actively participate in the company’s agile transformation, striving for increased automation and continuous process improvement. Key qualifications include a degree in Computer Science, professional experience in object-oriented programming (ideally in the defense or aeronautics sector), knowledge of the Multifunctional Information Distribution System (MIDS), and familiarity with the Java ecosystem, UML, and design patterns.
