Job Summary

As a Senior IT Technician specializing in Data Centers, you will be responsible for the daily operation, monitoring, and maintenance of critical IT infrastructure in Augsburg. Key duties include hands-on server and network hardware installations (Racking, patching, power management), ensuring precise cabling standards (Copper & Fiber Optic), and documenting IT assets. A significant part of the role involves modernizing operations through automation, utilizing scripting (Bash, Python, Powershell) and tools like Ansible and Terraform across Unix/Linux and Windows environments. You will also implement and manage Linux-based Hypervisors (e.g., Proxmox VE), Container/Kubernetes, and Cloud infrastructures (Azure, AWS, Openstack). The position requires strong technical skills in server hardware (HPE, Dell, Lenovo) and networking (Cisco, HP Aruba), along with professional experience in a data center setting. This role offers flexible working hours, opportunities for further training, and the prospect of permanent employment following an initial temporary contract.
