Job Summary
This role seeks an IT Specialist focused on Server Systems and Operations to join the Thuringian State Office for Land Management and Geoinformation in Erfurt. The specialist will be responsible for the continuous development and maintenance of server environments, particularly focusing on Linux server operating systems and database infrastructures. Core daily activities include system administration within Active Directory, technical application operation for specialized software, and the critical design and implementation of robust firewall and network protection policies. Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in Informatics, Information Technology, or a related IT field, or equivalent training as a certified IT Specialist (Fachinformatiker). Desirable skills include professional experience, proficiency in scripting (PowerShell and LinuxShell), and advanced knowledge of both Linux and Windows environments, alongside backup and archive technology. This position offers the stability of public service employment (with potential for civil servant status) and the flexibility of partial remote work options.
Required Skills
Education
Completed University of Applied Sciences or Bachelor's degree in Informatics, Administrative Informatics, Information Technology, Communication Technology, or a field with an IT focus; OR Training as a certified IT Specialist (Fachinformatiker).
