Job Summary

This role is based within the Fiber Optical Silicones (FOC-OPT) manufacturing department at IPG Photonics, a global leader in high-power fiber lasers. The Chemical Laboratory Technician will be responsible for executing syntheses of optical polymers strictly following approved process descriptions. Key daily tasks include comprehensive documentation of all process steps within the Manufacturing Execution System (MES), commissioning and maintaining production facilities, and controlling and optimizing essential filtration and testing processes. Furthermore, the technician will create and adapt process descriptions and provide crucial feedback to development teams regarding material and process improvements. Candidates must possess completed vocational training in a technical or chemical field, coupled with professional experience in chemical material manufacturing and familiarity with production equipment.
