Job Summary

This leadership role involves heading the IT Working Group within the Central Services Department of the Public Health Office in Tempelhof-Schöneberg, Berlin. The successful candidate will be responsible for the coordination, new development, and continuous improvement of information technology systems across the Health Office. Key daily tasks include implementing new IT procedures and optimizing the existing data structure to ensure efficient public health administration for approximately 350,000 residents. The position requires a relevant university degree (Bachelor/Diploma) in fields such as Informatics or Public Management, coupled with at least two years of professional experience in Information Technology. This is a crucial, full-time, permanent position offering the opportunity to contribute actively to public health efficiency within a supportive municipal environment, compensated at the E11 TV-L pay grade.

Required Skills

Education

Completed university degree (Diploma/Bachelor) in Public Administration, Administrative Informatics, Business Informatics, Public Management, or a related field with primarily administrative or information science content.

Experience

  • At least 2 years of relevant professional experience in Information Technology
  • Professional experience in Public Administration or Informatics is highly desirable
