Job Summary

This role seeks a dedicated Crisis Preparedness and Organizational Development Officer to join the Central Services department of a state authority in Mainz or Koblenz. The core mission is to establish and conceptually refine a robust crisis and emergency management system, ensuring the agency maintains operational capability during exceptional circumstances. Day-to-day tasks involve developing preparedness strategies for diverse threats—ranging from natural events and power failures to cyberattacks and pandemics—and conducting after-action reviews of exercises and real incidents. You will be responsible for creating and updating critical documentation, including handbooks and procedural instructions, and advancing the existing Business Continuity Management (BCM) framework through staff training and awareness initiatives. The ideal candidate possesses a relevant Bachelor's degree and several years of experience in BCM, coupled with strong project and process management expertise.
