Job Summary

This HMI Engineer role is designed for an ambitious professional passionate about innovation and technology, focusing on the development and maintenance of Human-Machine Interface (HMI) software and related systems. The core responsibilities involve creating and maintaining technical specifications and manuals, coordinating functional and visual concepts with various internal interfaces, customers, and suppliers, and developing operating functionalities and system visualizations. A critical aspect of the job includes the project planning of the central signaling system, followed by the integration and testing of HMI components within the test setup in Erlangen. Candidates must ensure error-free configuration and function, supporting acceptance tests and providing technical assistance during on-site commissioning. Success in this role requires a degree in Electrical or Automation Engineering, sound experience in HMI project planning (ideally utilizing Copa Data Zenon), and expert knowledge of key control system protocols like IEC 61850, OPC, and DNP.
