This IT Security Engineer role focuses on developing and executing robust IT security strategies, ensuring the integrity of IT systems and networks. Candidates must possess a completed degree or vocational qualification in Computer Science, coupled with several years of relevant professional experience. Essential technical knowledge includes working with common virtualization solutions (such as Hyper-V and VMWare ESXi), handling Cisco Firewalls, and familiarity with Windows, Linux, and Unix operating systems. Proficiency in programming languages like Python, Java, and C++ is also beneficial.
