Job Summary

This doctoral position at Forschungszentrum Jülich offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the newly established Institute for Sustainable Hydrogen Economy (INW), focusing on innovative hydrogen technologies for a climate-friendly energy system. The successful candidate will design, build, and operate a leaching test stand for bimetallic copper catalysts, developing and optimizing leaching protocols. Key responsibilities include applying and advancing spectroscopic analytical methods for metal concentration and species determination, performing kinetic and thermodynamic evaluations of leaching processes, and investigating developed catalysts in dehydrogenation setups. This role is ideal for a highly motivated individual passionate about energy transition, sustainability, and chemical hydrogen storage, offering the chance to publish and present research findings and collaborate with other research groups.

Required Skills

Education

Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, Chemistry, or a comparable discipline
