Job Summary

This full-time, fixed-term position, running until June 30, 2029, supports the cross-border NERTHUS project, which focuses on developing novel strategies to enhance soil ecosystem services using engineered organic fertilizers. The Technical Research Assistant will be responsible for the hands-on execution and detailed documentation of plant cultivation experiments, encompassing both container and field trials. A key part of the role involves supporting the sampling of soil and plants, followed by comprehensive laboratory analysis, including the determination of chemical and physical soil parameters and performing molecular biological analyses of the soil microbiome. Candidates must possess a completed vocational qualification as a Plant Technologist, Chemical Laboratory Assistant, or Biological Laboratory Assistant. Prior knowledge of field trial systems and greenhouse cultivation is highly beneficial. This role requires a structured and goal-oriented approach, contributing directly to cutting- advancement in sustainable agricultural research in Osnabrück.
