Data Center Facilities Technician | IT-Haustechniker (m/w/d), Köln (DCO)

Job Summary

This role seeks a dedicated Data Center Facilities Technician to manage and maintain critical technical infrastructure at a leading German cloud provider's data center in Cologne. Day-to-day responsibilities include the proactive monitoring, upkeep, and maintenance of essential systems such as emergency power, UPS units, fire protection, cooling systems, and general energy/building technology. The technician will utilize the Building Management System (BMS) for oversight, manage service disruptions and tasks via a ticketing system, coordinate necessary repairs, and implement modernization measures. A key component of the role involves organizing and supervising external contractors and service providers. The ideal candidate must possess a completed technical qualification, cross-trade technical understanding, and hands-on experience supporting data center structures and monitoring systems. This position offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies and contribute to digital sovereignty initiatives while participating in a paid on-call rotation.
