Job Summary

This role seeks a Specialist for Research Data Management focusing on semantic metadata modeling to join the DFG-funded AIMS 2 project at TU Darmstadt. The core responsibilities involve actively developing and refining domain-specific metadata profiles, particularly for researchers in Materials Science, Physics, and Engineering. You will coordinate the creation of reusable profiles and contribute to the further development of the modeling approach itself. A significant part of the job involves training and outreach: conducting workshops, developing low-barrier learning resources for the AIMS platform, and communicating project outcomes within relevant communities like the National Research Data Infrastructure (NFDI). The ideal candidate holds a scientific Master's degree, possesses experience documenting research data using metadata, and demonstrates strong methodological and didactic skills for training complex technical concepts. Excellent fluency in both German and English is required, coupled with a highly organized, service-oriented approach to supporting the scientific community.
