This critical role seeks an engaged Electrical Engineer to join the team in Essen, focusing on shaping the energy transition within Germany's largest distribution grid operator. The core responsibilities involve conducting in-depth analyses and dynamic simulations (RMS and EMT) of real-world power distribution grid situations to assess stability, particularly concerning the integration of grid-forming inverters. The engineer will be crucial in developing systemic grid connection testing methods and advancing existing grid assessment and planning methodologies. You will also utilize your expertise to consult on the development of network operator processes and represent the company's technical interests in regulatory bodies like VDE and FNN. Key qualifications include a very strong university degree in Electrical Engineering (meeting prerequisites for doctoral studies) and proven professional experience in dynamic grid calculation and simulation.
