Job Summary

This part-time role (30 hours/week) as a Molecular Pathology Laboratory Specialist involves crucial diagnostic and preparatory work within a leading pathology institute in Hamburg. The specialist will focus on automated HPV/Chlamydia diagnostics, preparing tissue sections (HE and unstained) from FFPE material, and performing DNA/RNA isolation. A core responsibility is the independent execution and evaluation of Real Time PCR analyses, alongside supporting the preparation of Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) libraries. Candidates must hold a completed qualification as a Biological, Medical, or Chemical Technical Assistant (BTA, MTA, CTA), or a relevant degree in Biology. Prior professional experience and routine pipetting skills are a significant advantage. The position requires a team-oriented, precise, and responsible individual who is fluent in German, contributing to the timely and transparent handling of complex diagnostic questions.
