This role as a Technical Specialist in Environmental Protection involves crucial field service work within the Neukölln District Office in Berlin, focusing on safeguarding the environment and public health from harmful impacts. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting initial investigations of unknown environmental effects, managing citizen complaints, and providing basic consultation to facility operators regarding environmental legislation, specifically immission control, waste, and water law. The specialist will also perform routine site inspections of non-permitted facilities and carry out simple measurements of air, noise, and light emissions. The position requires a degree in Environmental Technology, Technical Environmental Protection, Process Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent qualifications such as a certified technician or relevant five years of professional experience. Required Skills

Education
